The Band
The Lite Years are a collective of professional musicians and friends — father and son included — hailing from the leafy suburbs of Hertfordshire and Greater London. Our paths crossed when we all volunteered on the music rota at our church.
Every now and then, we’d come together for one-off, large-scale community gigs and we often ended up in the same band lineup at friends' weddings. We had so much fun and that energy translated seamlessly when playing. After a while, we figured: why not make it official? Thus, The Lite Years was born.

Geoff Chapman
GUITAR AND KEYS
Geoff is a retired firefighter who is now enjoying a second career as an accomplished multi-instrumentalist. Having learned piano from the age of three and developed a passion for guitar during the height of the Glam Rock era, he has spent a lifetime playing in churches, function venues and concert halls.
A seasoned skier and (motor)cyclist — a veteran of Land’s End to John o’ Groats, no small feat — and an all-rounder at DIY, there’s not much Geoff can’t turn his hand to!
Scott Chapman
CAJON AND PERCUSSION
Scott is a Royal Academy trained musician. He is a regular player in the orchestra pits of London’s West End and the UK-wide musical theatre scene (Aladdin, Moulin Rouge! and Wicked). He is particularly passionate when it comes to jazz and improvised music, so much so, he co-founded the Patchwork Jazz Orchestra. You can also catch him on Disney+ in The Rivals sporting a rather fetching 80’s haircut!
Scott’s creativity extends beyond music to his impressive barista artistry; a skill that will come in handy as a new Dad!
